Dmytro Davydenko
Beach High School
Dmytro came to beach high school as a foreign exchange student last year from the Ukraine. Due to the ongoing war with Russia he was able to apply to stay in our country for his senior year. Dima has become a great leader. He is involved in so much in his community. He participates in a few sports and has enjoyed learning the American rules. He shows leadership by helping his peers and participating in school and community projects.
Dmytro has helped with an annual Trunk or Treat event, blood drive, selling of concessions and most of the other student council events. He has helped with events not related to student council as well, he has volunteered at the grade school, church, and the city with projects they have done.

Grace Larson
Century High School
Grace is a strong member of Century Student Council. She has near perfect attendance, and is always one of the first to arrive to each meeting. She is very thoughtful, and is always willing to lend a hand where it is needed. Grace has gone out of her way to assist in preparations for various school events, often coming in to work on projects during her free class periods. Grace is a great addition to student council and her school is so lucky to have her!

Watford City High School
Allyson is Watford City's current student council President and has had a huge impact during her 4 years at WCHS. She has led their pen pal program with the senior citizens in the community. Allyson has been active in the Buddy mentoring program. She is very hard working and deserving of this honor!

Jocelyn Quandt
Oakes High School
Jocelyn goes above in beyond in the Oakes council! She leads with grace and kindness which are always appreciated qualities! She works hard to be involved in Oakes and the community. Her community outreach is an area where she excels in creating various community events to bring everyone together for the holidays! Her advisor is so proud of the work she is doing in their council and community, and can’t wait to see what she does next! She is an amazing leader in our council whom others can look to for a positive role model. Despite the other numerous activities she is in she works hard to be present and involved in the student council. She is dedicated to our council and it shows!

Ruby Johnson
Shiloh Christian High School
Ruby is someone who is not afraid to offer ideas, but will also listen to others. She leads by example with her positive attitude and excellent work ethic. She is level-headed and approaches things with common sense and compassion for others. Ruby has been a consistent member of Student Council throughout her high school career. She is willing to step up and always take on the roles that no one gets credit for, but need to be done to run a successful event. Recently she worked with our kitchen staff and administration to help streamline lunch times for our student leadership groups. It is not a big thing but it shows how Ruby is able to see others around her and look for ways to make their lives easier. She is an asset to our team and will be missed next year!

Brianna Schmitz
Oakes High School
Brianna is the true definition of a leader. She volunteers to head committees and be part of committees. She will do anything that is asked of her and does it with excellence. She isn't afraid to speak up and be the leader amongst her older peers. Everything she does gets done well and with precision which is a great quality. I can always depend on Brianna to help out whenever she is needed. She is also great at jumping in to help even when she hasn't been asked. We are lucky to have Brianna on our council.

Katelyn Duchscher
Rugby High School
Katelyn has worked so hard this year from planning big events like a MORP dance for our JH students and our very successful Lip Sync Battle. She also helped plan little things like a Holiday/Winter door decorating contest, a March Madness Staff Tournament, and dress up themes for EVERY sporting event. She worked to provide opportunities for her fellow students to make memories like they used to. We talked at several meetings how it was hard last year because our school didn’t want the gatherings and how COVID pushed us away from each other. We decided to do our part in pushing us back together to make the memories that will last a lifetime; and Katelyn certainly did everything she could to provide her peers with opportunities to make memories

Megan Hass
Legacy High School
Megan is the current president of the LHS Student Council. Her leadership has resulted in many successful events this year. Her drive and dedication are unmatched, yet she lifts up the other council members by seeking their input and empowering their leadership skills. Megan makes it possible for her advisors to advise and not lead. Megan hosted the annual Late Night in Saber City and Mr. LHS event. She chaired the Snowball Dance decorating committee. She oversaw the annual Sweets and Treats Halloween event and all of Legacy's Homecoming events. She does it all yet manages to delegate and involve others. She truly makes it a student-led organization.

Macee Franz
Watford City High School
When COVID brought many shutdowns, and a decline in mental health for many in her school and community, Macee took action. She worked to develop a Mental Health awareness group that met once a month. Originally called “Snack & Chat” then later renames the “Be the Light Group” Macee works with our school social worker to give students a safe place to share their concerns and also find outlets or resources to help deal with their mental health challenges. Macee is also our Student Council President and is active in all initiatives. Including the Tuesday morning “Greeting with Kindness” initiative. Students come in the door greeted by many STUCO members and a special treat as a pick-me-up and encouragement to have a great day. Macee is a great leader because she puts action into making our school culture and climate more positive!

Lily Giggee
Mandan High School
Lily stepped up early on in her high school Student Council career. She has always taken on a leadership position to help Mandan's Student Council and others achieve their goals. She has made a great effort to grow in her role as a leader as well. It can be tough to be an effective leader, learn how to delegate, and inspire, but Lily has come a long way in becoming a great leader. Even though she may struggle, she is always finding ways to help others, make others smile, and make Mandan a better place.

Skylar Beck
South Prairie High School
Skylar Beck, the South Prairie School StuCo Secretary/Treasurer, has been so helpful with assisting with their 6th - 12th grade ROCK program. This stands for Royals Of Character and Kindness, since they are the South Prairie ROYALS. The program is based on the six pillars of Character Counts. Teachers fill out ROCK slips on students when they see them exhibiting one of the pillar's attributes. Our Student Council members hang the slips in our commons area as a positive reminder of all the great qualities our students possess. Skylar consistently checks for slips that need to be hung up, which is a huge help to her advisor and the rest of the Student Council.

Olivia Christianson
Langdon Area High School
Olivia has taken on the leadership of President-Elect. She is always willing to help out on committees and lead pep rallies. She is always willing to direct the underclassmen to help out with different activities. She can be counted on to get the job done. Pep Rallies for state tournaments, Homecoming events, the blood drive, bake sales and monthly events. All have been effective thanks to Olivia's help and leadership. Olivia is a great example for future students to learn from and follow. She does a great job of leading through example.

Gabrielle Ketterer
Maple Valley High School
Gabby has been a willing and involved member of our school's Student Council for the last three years, but it has really been in this last year that she has really become a leader for our school. Gabby has always been one of the first to volunteer for committees or helping with projects. More than that, we can depend on the fact that she does what she says she will do. In this last year, as our Student Council president, Gabby makes all of the agendas, runs the meetings, organizes events and communicates regularly with not only me, but administration on various events. She has taken the lead on writing the agendas for our monthly meetings and lining up activities for our StuCo day of service and learning.

Oakes High School
Despite not being an officer on her Student Council, Kate Harris from Oakes High School shows exemplary leadership skills, making her worthy to be the May Member of the Month. Kate is always the first to volunteer, and the last to leave. Kate is known for involvement in multiple committees within her Student Council and has worked with Great Plains Food Bank for food distribution around her community.

Alexis Kraemer
Grand Forks Central High School
Despite not being a student council cabinet representative this year, Alexis has worked hard to be involved and help the Grand Forks Central Student Council. Lexi headed up the project creating council T-shirts, was integral in planning fall spirit week, and was instrumental when it came to the GFC giving tree event. A project typically spread out among all student council members was delegated to the 8 cabinet members due to distance learning. GFC was still short on gifts so Lexi took it upon herself to volunteer and got over 30 gifts filled by herself within a week!

Makayla is the current president of the LaMoure High School Student Council. She is known for being the first to volunteer to serve, has expanded food drives in her area, and has created fundraisers for a Lamoure teacher with cancer.

Alexa has assisted in planning a myriad of events, including Homecoming coronation, pep rallies, and games; “Kind Week”; YES committee; Epilepsy Awareness Month; and the Langdon High School Blood Drive. She strives to be a role model and is not afraid to step up, roll up her sleeves, and get work done!

West Fargo High School
Aidan’s incredibly reliable leadership and strength of character is integral to the success of the West Fargo Student Council. He took the initiative to be one of the key members of the Fill the Dome campaign, contacting local organizations for donations and boxes to load the non-perishable food items. He has also sat on an advisory council for the State Superintendent and planned coronation and other Homecoming activities.

Legacy High School
Abby is Legacy’s Student Council President. In her time as a member, she has delegated students to committees, worked to build a culture of positivity, and has played an integral role in many of the events the council hosts including homecoming, Saber Sweets and Treats, and Late Night in Saber City. Though a student of such accomplishment could be prideful, Abby is known for her kindness and radiates positivity.

Gabrielle Ketterer
Maple Valley High School
Gabrielle is the Maple Valley Student Council President. A great communicator, Gabby mentors younger members, listens to all points-of-view, enthusiastically takes on school spirit projects, and maintains a positive attitude even in difficult situations. She also has had a role with the annual food drive to increase presence in elementary classrooms, is leading a committee to help make the Maple Valley school parking lot safer, and is working with administration on getting a healthy snack machine in school. At the beginning of the nationwide quarantine last spring, Gabby led her student council in two unique projects: a flipgrid video of their best dad joke sent to families in the district and a TikTok-style video sending teacher appreciation messages.

Lexi Dirk
Mandan High School
Lexi is the Secretary for Mandan Student Council and is known to help with everything the council does, while still trying to let others take the lead sometimes. To highlight some of the work she’s done, Lexi organized a School Wide Day of Caring, Trick or Treat for Canned Goods, provided food for a local food pantry, and led the Community Clean up day along with the Mandan City Clean-up day. "Lexi is so willing to go above and beyond to make things happen at our school and in our community.”

Leah Kelsch
Legacy High School
Leah is the community service rep. on the Legacy High School Student Council. This past year, she has taken it upon herself to create monthly service opportunities. Some of the events she has organized and planned includes a blood drive through Vitalant, bell ringing with Salvation Army, Heaven's Helper Soup Kitchen, Zion Lutheran Church's Trunk or Treat, and fundraising for the Alzheimer's Association. Her fundraising work for the Alzheimer's Association is especially exceptional because she planned multiple service opportunities for the month of September.

Cali Wilson
Jim Hill Middle School
Cali actively runs all meetings with the Jim Hill executive board and has been instrumental in the success of Jim Hill’s haunted house. She also is a school party activity planner, student guide at parent teacher conferences, mentors students with special needs weekly, and volunteers with the school recycling program. Cali was instrumental in bringing the "Mystic" back to Jim Hill as a school mascot, along with bringing back the singing of the school song to increase school spirit at all assemblies. She has helped lead the sock and food drives for charity and helps other members achieve their community service hours. She gives of her personal time to food pantries and soup kitchens. She has helped with the council’s reading to animals project at the humane society and several other community events.

Samantha Whalen
Grand Forks Central High School
Samantha is an integral part of the Grand Forks Central High School Student Council. Her involvement in student council can be highlighted by her 100 hours of leadership program recognition for 4 years, management of social media for the school, pep rally planning, wrapping hundreds of gifts for the giving tree, running half time game entertainment, and volunteerism all around on the GFC student council. She missed the Halloween dance last year because she was the only student to help clean up the haunted house. Her involvement has been described as a vital part of the school community and culture of high school in Grand Forks.
